Triple Protection: Cleaner Air, Cleaner Surfaces, Allergen Control
Our UV-C air purification systems deliver comprehensive protection through three distinct mechanisms
Destroys pathogens in the air before they can spread or settle
By eliminating airborne pathogens, surface contamination drops significantly
Data from peer-reviewed study in hospital burn intensive care unit (Li et al., 2024)
F7 filters trap airborne pollen, dust, and allergens before they reach your lungs
Applies to: CT600, MT500/750
How It Works
254nm UV-C germicidal light destroys airborne viruses, bacteria, and mold at the molecular level—proven effective in NHS laboratory testing. This continuous air disinfection is available across all our units.
By eliminating airborne pathogens before they settle, UV-C air purification significantly reduces surface contamination by up to 69%—validated in peer-reviewed hospital studies. Fewer airborne pathogens means fewer pathogens depositing on desks, doorknobs, and equipment.

Our CT600 and MT500/750 units add a third layer: oversized F7 filters (ISO 16890) that capture 92-99% of pollen and allergens. This creates a "pollen sanctuary" during allergy season (March-September), reducing hay fever symptoms while maintaining year-round infection control.

What the experts say about Midtherm UV
"The Midtherm MT250 air purifier destroys 99 per cent of common airborne pathogens very effectively in a single pass. This holds true for a wide range of pathogens that cause diseases within the environment, such as TB, measles, Norovirus, diphtheria, influenza, SARS-Cov, MRSA and Legionella."
Dr Daniel O'Toole
National University of Ireland, School of Medicine
"The technology has been in existence for years, but MidthermUV is the only company which is listening, looking at, and applying its research to specific needs. This device reduces the viral load and deactivates it which is important to the NHS."
Frank Mills
Consultant engineer and founder member of the Pandemic Infections Control Solutions Group
"Our mission is to improve the world through engineering and this is a fantastic example of how engineering skills can make a difference to all our lives. Ensuring the air indoors is as pathogen-free as possible will be major step forward in reducing COVID-19 transmission in hospitals, as well as places like schools, colleges and other public buildings."
Dr Alice Bunn
Chief Executive and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers
"It was an absolute privilege to be chosen for trials which could completely transform the way we live in the future. The results were spectacular and it gives us such a feeling of security knowing that we must be the safest college in the county for air quality."
Gemma Peebles
Principal and CEO of Harrison College, Doncaster
